What Is ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī?
There exists a type of knowledge that no book can teach, no teacher can transmit, and no amount of study alone can earn. This is ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī — knowledge granted directly by Allah ﷻ to whom He wills.
Unlike Ruhani or Noorani sciences, which can be obtained through years of discipline, dhikr, and spiritual training, ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī is a divine gift. It is poured into the hearts of prophets and saints without effort, because Allah Himself chose them as vessels of His secrets.
How the Prophets and Saints Received It
Prophets and awliyā’ (saints) did not enter seclusion to seek hidden sciences. Their seclusion was for one reason only: love of Allah and closeness to Him. They asked for nothing but His nearness — yet Allah, out of His mercy, opened to some of them the doors of hidden knowledge.
This knowledge has no limit, because it flows from the Creator of knowledge Himself. It reveals answers to the hardest questions, uncovers solutions without reliance on jinn or muwakils, and sometimes even grants glimpses into realities hidden from mankind.
Those blessed with ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī did not use it for wealth or fame. Like the prophets and saints before them, they used it only for what Allah commanded — for the guidance and benefit of humanity.
Can Ordinary People Attain It?
The messengers and awliyā’ were chosen for this knowledge before they were even born. To imagine reaching their level of ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī is beyond reason.
Yet some scholars say that through immense dedication, sincerity, and love for Allah, a person may be granted a portion of this knowledge. Even then, it is not because they sought it directly, but because Allah rewarded their love and devotion by opening secrets to their hearts.
Still, this portion is small compared to what prophets and saints carried. Perhaps less than 1% of seekers will ever taste even a drop of this ocean. But even that drop is a treasure beyond measure — because it is direct knowledge from Allah, not from creation.
The Mark of True ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī
Those who receive it do not boast of it, nor use it for personal gain. Instead, they remain humble, using it only in ways Allah guides. Their lives are marked not by wealth or fame, but by sincerity, sacrifice, and service.
✨ Final Reflection
ʿIlm-e-Ladunnī cannot be pursued as one chases wealth or power. It comes to those who chase Allah alone. They do not seek secrets — they seek Him. And in that seeking, Allah sometimes entrusts them with knowledge that no book contains and no tongue can teach.
