TO THOSE WHO ACT FROM ARROGANCE OR ENGAGE IN ANY FORM OF DARK OR DEMONIC PRACTICES: DO NOT MISTAKE SILENCE FOR WEAKNESS, OR RESTRAINT FOR LACK OF POWER. WE ARE UNCONCERNED WITH REPUTATIONS, THREATS, OR PERCEIVED STRENGTH. STRENGTH AND FORCES EXIST THAT REQUIRE NO DISPLAY, NO CONFRONTATION, AND EFFORT TO ACT. WHATEVER STRENGTH OR FIRE YOU BELIEVE YOU WIELD, UNDERSTAND THIS CLEARLY THERE ARE FIRES THAT EXTINGUISH, NOT COMPETE!
In a world obsessed with physical strength, wealth, and dominance, true power is often misunderstood. Islamic spirituality teaches that real strength comes not from ego or force, but from closeness to Allah SWT, sacred knowledge (‘ilm), and humility.
No matter how big, strong, or untouchable one believes themselves to be in this dunya, there is always someone stronger. This reflection is not meant to belittle, nor to challenge, but to remind us all to remain humble. The Qur’an itself teaches:
“And do not walk upon the earth arrogantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height.”
(Surah Al-Isra, 17:37)
True strength is not found in how much weight you can lift, how much wealth you can hoard, or how many people you can control through money and influence. These are illusions of power. In reality, there is no power and no strength except through Allah SWT.
⸻
The Illusion of Strength
I have met countless people who carry themselves with pride because of their worldly achievements be it physical strength, wealth, or influence. They think this makes them invincible. But all of it is fragile.
The strongest body will one day weaken. The largest fortune can disappear in an instant. Influence evaporates the moment Allah removes His support.
This so-called strength cannot protect you from the unseen, from what moves beyond human comprehension.
In fact, the irony is this: while the strongest bodies of dunya eventually decay, the true friends of Allah SWT are honored even in death. Their bodies do not rot in their graves, but remain preserved by the will of Allah until the Day of Judgment.
SubhanAllah, it is reported that Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (رحمه الله) swore that those who carry love for him in their hearts and by extension the sincere Awliya of Allah SWT are rejected by the earth from disintegration.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has forbidden the earth from consuming the bodies of the Prophets.”
(Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawood)
And it has been authentically reported that many of the awliya of Allah are likewise preserved as an honor from Him. Their graves carry fragrance, tranquility, and presence long after their passing.
This is the difference:
The arrogant body of dunya decays.
The bodies of Allah’s beloved are honored.

The Hidden Warriors of Allah SWT
Some of the most powerful people I have ever encountered were not powerful because of wealth, social influence, or status. Their strength came from ‘ilm (sacred knowledge) and their closeness to Allah SWT.
On the surface, these individuals may look ordinary simple in dress, humble in manner, unassuming. Yet when you look into their eyes, you feel a fire that should not be taken lightly. That fire is not arrogance or ego, but the radiance of divine strength flowing through them.
Such spiritual energy emanates from some of these individuals as if they possess an unlimited source of power like a super-charged generator. Some of them do not even need sleep. Some can be felt from a distance.
Their spiritual energy is so powerful, it is beyond the norm as if they are an invincible force, by the permission of Allah (Insha’Allah).
I personally met a simple man once an old Qur’an teacher who carried this reality. When he shook my hand, it felt as if my entire body was supercharged, bolted with spiritual energy, and as if he had read me inside out with a single glance.
SubhanAllah.
It was a life changing experience indeed I will never forget.
There are those who can sit silently in a gathering and yet know the inner states of every person present. They may never speak it but Allah grants them insight.
Even the most infamous practitioners of black magic would not dare to walk on the same side of the street as such people. Why?
Because these are the true warriors of Allah SWT protected, elevated, and supported by the Almighty Allah Himself.
Their presence alone can shift an entire room.

The Power of Closeness to Allah SWT
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ narrated from Allah in a sacred Hadith Qudsi:
“My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than the obligations I have placed upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary deeds until I love him. When I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask of Me, I would surely give it to him; and were he to seek refuge in Me, I would surely grant it to him.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
This is the reality of closeness to Allah.
Their power is not their own it is Allah SWT’s power manifesting through them. When they speak, it carries weight. When they pray, it shakes the unseen. When they are defended, no harm can touch them, for they stand within the fortress of Divine protection Inshallah.

Scenarios of True Spiritual Strength
The Saint Who Silenced a Tyrant
There was once a gathering where a wealthy, arrogant man sought to belittle a spiritual practitioner. He mocked and boasted of his influence. The practitioner sat silently.
When he finally lifted his gaze, the tyrant’s voice cracked. His face paled. His body trembled.
Not a word was spoken yet arrogance collapsed.
The Black Magician Who Could Not Cross
I have seen black magicians refuse to step into the presence of a true wali. As one approached the threshold of a gathering, his legs weakened and he turned back.
Light does not negotiate with darkness.
The Ordinary Man With Extraordinary Eyes
I once met a man who looked like a simple villager. But when he looked at me, it felt as though he saw everything.
It is said that the awliya of Allah can know you without you introducing yourself and I witnessed that truth with my own eyes.
The Dua That Shook a Kingdom
History is filled with stories of righteous men whose single dua brought down tyrants and altered the course of nations.
Not by force but by nearness to Allah.
⸻
The Fear They Inspire
It is not just physical strength that makes the arrogant tremble. It is the unseen authority Allah SWT places upon His servants.
There are warriors who do not need to raise their voices. They do not need to lift their hands.
Yet when they raise their hands in duʿāʾ the heavens respond.
They fight only for the sake of Allah SWT!
The Strength of Restraint: An Ultimate Example of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib A.S.
There is a powerful story reported in traditional Islamic accounts about Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib A.S. that perfectly defines what true strength looks like.
During a battle, Imam Ali had overpowered his enemy and stood in a position where he could have ended the man’s life instantly. The man, defeated and humiliated, spat in Imam Ali’s face.
At that very moment, Imam Ali stepped back and spared him.
When asked why he did not strike, Imam Ali replied in meaning:
“Before, I was fighting for the sake of Allah. But when he spat on me, I feared that if I struck him then, it would be out of personal anger. And I will not act for my ego.”
This is strength beyond the illusion.
Not the strength to overpower but the strength to restrain.
Not the power to destroy but the power to purify intention.
Imam Ali understood that the moment ego enters the heart, divine strength withdraws. And so he chose Allah over victory, sincerity over dominance, and truth over impulse.
This is the level of inner power that no physical force can reach.
⸻
Final Reflection
These are the realities of spiritual practitioners, saints, and hidden warriors of Allah SWT.
Their strength does not come from ego, wealth, or darkness but from surrender, knowledge, and nearness to the Creator.
The Qur’an warns us not to walk the earth with pride. The world may bow to wealth and fear force but the unseen world bows only to the Will of Allah.
The true warriors of Allah do not need swords, money, or armies.
Their weapon is closeness.
Their shield is protection.
And their victory is assured. InshaAllah
There is no power except Allah SWT!
